WHAT TO EXPECT:

Spend an afternoon creating an array of hand sewn Christmas decorations to adorn your home or give to others as gifts. You will be provided with all the materials and patterns to create a beautiful set of ornaments during the afternoon workshop. If you’d like to try your hand at coming up with your own designs, all the necessary tools and fabrics will also be provided for you to do so.

 

WHAT TO BRING:

All necessary materials will be provided. If there is a specific material that you want to use (for instance some buttons you've been saving or a swatch of festive fabric etc) feel free to bring that along and we can incorporate it too. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY WITH YOU:

A set of lovely, handcrafted Christmas decorations in fun fabrics. 

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

None at all. This is a beginners workshop and no previous experience of sewing is required.

 

NUMBER OF PLACES:
There are 7 spaces available for this course. With such a small number of us, everyone will get plenty of one-to-one time and have the opportunity to ask any questions or queries as they come up. 

 

ACCESS TO VENUE:
The workshop room that we'll be using for the afternoon is up a flight of stairs and I'm afraid there is no lift. Feel free to contact me if you need further information or specific details. 

 

There is no parking at this venue. The nearest car park is the Shambles Q-Park, a 4 minute walk away. If you are coming to York via train, the station is about 15 minute walk away or a 10 minute taxi ride.

 

PRICE:

The Price for the afternoon is £30. Included in the price are all the tools and materials needed to create a beautiful set of decorations. Tea, coffee, cordial and biscuits will also be provided throughout the afternoon.
