WHAT TO EXPECT:

Learn how to paint on silk to create your own collection of beautiful hand made Christmas cards. 

 

WHAT TO BRING:

All necessary materials will be provided.

 

WHAT YOU WILL TAKE AWAY WITH YOU:

You will make silks for between 4 and 6 Christmas cards, they will be dry and ready to collect by Monday 2nd December.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

None at all. This is a beginners workshop and no previous experience of silk painting is necessary at all. Templates of various festive scenes will be available or you are welcome to design your own. 

 

NUMBER OF PLACES:
There are 7 spaces available for this course. With such a small number of us, everyone will get plenty of one-to-one time and have the opportunity to ask any questions or queries as they come up. 

 

ACCESS TO VENUE:

The workshop room that we'll be using for the afternoon is up a flight of stairs and I'm afraid there is no lift. Feel free to contact me if you need further information or specific details. 

 

There is no parking at this venue. The nearest car park is the Shambles Q-Park, a 4 minute walk away. If you are coming to York via train, the station is about 15 minute walk away or a 10 minute taxi ride.

 

PRICE:

The Price for the afternoon is £35. Included in the price are all the tools and materials needed to create several beautiful pieces of handpainted silk plus cards to mount them onto later once they've dried. Tea, coffee, cordial and biscuits will also be provided throughout the afternoon.
