WHAT TO EXPECT:

Learn the basics of painting on silk, including several easy and fun techniques to create beautiful patterns and effects. 

 

WHAT TO BRING:

All necessary materials will be provided.

 

WHAT YOU WILL CREATE DURING THE DAY:

Two lovely, hand painted pieces of silk. You will leave them with me to dry and they can be collected 48 hours later or posted out to you. If you would like one of your silks to be sewn into a notebook cover, there will be an additional £6 to pay on the day. 

 

SKILLS REQUIRED:

None at all. This is a beginners workshop and no previous experience of silk painting is necessary at all.

 

NUMBER OF PLACES:
There are 7 spaces available for this course. With such a small number of us, everyone will get plenty of one-to-one time and have the opportunity to ask any questions or queries as they come up. 

 

ACCESS TO VENUE:
There is no parking at this venue. The nearest car park is Union Terrace car park, a 4 minute walk away. If you are coming to York via train, the station is about 15 minute walk away or a 10 minute taxi ride.

 

PRICE:

The Price for the afternoon is £35. Included in the price are all the tools and materials needed to create several beautiful pieces of hand-painted silk. Tea, coffee, cordial and biscuits will also be provided throughout the afternoon.
